It's Hip to Be Square

Happy birthday to Piet Mondrian, who was born on this day in The Netherlands in 1872. Although it might not be obvious from his perpendicular lines and use of primary color blocks, Mondrian was deeply spiritual. He was also inconoclastic. He and other De Stijl artists believed that life itself--the human experience--is the ultimate work of art.

So, I'm a blog reader from time to time. I saw your post about Mondrian and remembered your bringing a Happy Birthday Piet! cake to Bible study one night. Ah, happy memories. We miss you, Julie! Love, Holy Covenant (particularly, Trey)
