Twin Cities Bibliophiles Rejoice!
According to America's Most Literate Cities 2007, Minneapolis is the most literate city in the United States. (St. Paul came in third. Chicago is #40.) The rankings are based on newspaper circulation, number of bookstores, library resources, periodical publishing resources, educational attainment, and Internet resources. Here's a great list of Twin Cities book resources, whether you want to buy books, read them, or have them read to you. Want to know what's on my bookshelf? Check out Shelfari--you can create your own shelf there, too (and share it with other book lovers!).
