For Valentine's Day on Thursday, Tomkin and I went to dinner at Forepaugh's, a mansion-turned-restaurant here in St. Paul. (It sounds to me like a place where the dogs should be able to go--"Four Paws.") Tomkin performs a number of small weddings there, and I'd never been there before, so we decided that would be a special place to go. We got a seat by the window on the second floor overlooking a park--it was beautiful. We started out with some escargot, which I'd never had before. It was good! We had a lovely, relaxing meal--a wonderful first Valentine's Day together.
